What To Expect

Visiting a new church can be intimidating: What should I wear? Where do my kids go?

In order to help you feel more comfortable when you visit, we have tried to answer some questions you may have in advance. If you choose to worship with us, there will be people available to assist you. If you have any additional questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Our worship services are on Sundays at 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

On Sunday mornings our worship team leads the service in an effort to draw people into meaningful worship of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our goal is to encourage each person to join in worship of God through the power of His Spirit. No matter the style or preference, it's all about Jesus! Our pastor's preaching is grounded in solid, Biblical teaching to help each one of us get to who God is and how we can live for Him. Like our singing, the preaching is done with passion!

We are not as concerned about how you look as we are about you getting to know God better. If you prefer dressy, business, or casual attire, chances are there will be others dressed much like you no matter when you visit. No matter what your personal style, we think you will be comfortable at First Baptist Church of Rochelle. Sure, Sunday mornings are a time some prefer to dress up a bit, but even if jeans are more your style, you should feel right at home with us. Naturally, Sunday and Wednesday evenings are slightly more casual than Sunday morning, but you are welcome to dress up for these if you prefer.

You are more than welcome to bring your children into the worship services, but we do provide a nursery for babies through age 2 and a children's church so that you may freely engage with the preaching time. Children 3 and above will stay in the service until the "Children's Message" time where they will come down front for a brief message and then will be escorted to the Children's Hall for Children's Church. In Children's Church they will watch a video about a Bible story and have coloring pages that correspond to the video and a snack. Your children will remain in the room with the teachers until you pick them up at the close of the service.
